UCJ: Fisayo Soyombo Inter-Varsity Essay Competition



The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan, presents to you the inter-varsity essay competition.

BACK, BIGGER, and BETTER!

It's the 3rd edition of FISAYO SOYOMBO INTER-VARSITY ESSAY COMPETITION

The first edition x-rayed the possibility of PMB's four year term bringing socio-economic prosperity to Nigeria.
The second edition delved further to inquire if PMB had truly come to fight corruption or just witch hunting opposition leaders.
This year edition promises nothing less as it moves into what holds our dear country together.

Essay Guidelines
- All entries should not exceed 1500 word count and should be sent to ucjunibadan@gmail.com
- Entries should also be original work of authors. Consulted materials should be duly referenced as plagiarism results in automatic disqualification.
- Authors must send their entries as attachment to the e-mail as well as a passport with a brief bio of themselves.
- Deadline is September 10, 2017

Note: this competition is open to all undergraduate students of Nigerian Tertiary Institutions only.

On the Recently Announced cut off Marks of 120 for University Admission: our position in UI: By Sunday Saanu - Media Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan      The Management of the University of Ibadan wishes to inform the public about the recently announced cut off marks of 120 for University Admission that UI will not lower her standards.      A statement from the Vice Chancellor's office indicates that the Nigeria's premier university still maintains her position  in academic excellence and standards in order to continue to aspire towards becoming a world-class university.      It should worry us as patriots that candidates who scored just 30% in UTME can be admitted into some of our universities.
